The popular British hip-hop band Stereo MC's appeared in 1985 in London. The group was founded by producer and DJ Head (real name: Nick Hallam) and rap vocalist Rob B. (Rob Birch). In 1989, they released their first full-length album entitled 33-45-78 on the American 4th & Broadway label. In 2001, Stereo MC's issued their final album called Deep Down & Dirty.
